Green Neon Tetra

The green neon tetra (Paracheirodon simulans) looks very similar to the better-known neon tetra, except the red on its body is much less pronounced, and its iridescent blue-green stripe is more brilliant. This makes them a great choice for hobbyists that wish to stray away from the cliché neon and cardinal tetras.

They grow to about 2.5 cm (1 in) and prefer water kept at 22 to 28 °C (71 to 82 °F).
