The horseface loach is a fast-moving freshwater and brackish fish. Sometimes also known as the horsehead loach. Like other fishes in the loach family, the horseface loach is bottom-dwelling.
Horseface loaches like to bury themselves inside fine sands and spends much of their time buried. Due to their burrowing nature, they are unsuitable for most planted aquariums.
The horseface loach is most active at night, and reaches a maximum size of 30 cm (12 inch).
