The pearlscale goldfish is characterized by its round body shape and its iridescent pearl-like scales. Their fins are short and they known to be the smallest breed of goldfish, typically growing only up to 6".
They are also known to be the hardest goldfish to keep, being very sensitive to water parameters. They also produce a lot of wastes, making it even more difficult to maintain clean water.
They do well in temperatures ranging from 68 - 80 °F, and ph 6.5 - 7.8.
